ECDI's Minority Business Assistance Center of Greater Dayton

Free Business Coaching for Dayton-Region Entrepreneurs

ECDI's Minority Business Assistance Center of Greater Dayton (MBAC) gives idea-stage and early founders the coaching, connections, and capital readiness to get off the ground — at no cost.

Starting a business is hard enough without doing it alone. The MBAC pairs you with a dedicated business advisor for one-on-one coaching in the four areas that make or break a startup: business planning, money management, marketing, and operations.

You'll also get access to:

  • One-on-one business coaching with ongoing sessions covering business plan development, marketing, financial management, and operations, with regular check-ins and homework to keep you moving toward your goals

  • Business and loan readiness workshops across Montgomery, Greene, Clark, Miami, Shelby, Champaign, and Logan counties

  • Warm introductions to the right partners as your needs grow. We connect you directly to certification, procurement, and other specialized resources across our regional network

  • Networking events to meet other founders, funders, and local business leaders

  • ECDI Lending with responsible, affordable loans from $750 to $2 million, built for entrepreneurs who face barriers with traditional banks

  • ECDI’s full range of statewide entrepreneurial services:

    • Women's Business Center — expert advice, coaching, and free tools for all entrepreneurs, regardless of gender, at any stage of business growth

    • Contractor Resource Center — training and mentorship for construction and contracting businesses

    • Veterans Business Outreach Center — dedicated support for veteran and military-connected entrepreneurs

    • Food Business Incubation Services — industry-specific coaching for food entrepreneurs

Whether your business is just an idea or you're in your first three years, this program meets you there — and as you grow, we connect you to certifications, procurement opportunities, and statewide resources through our partner network.
