Columbus: class: Capital for Construction: Understanding Contract Language & the Importance of Other Legal Documents

Wednesday, May 15 11:00am to 1:30pm

This training not only offers an expert interpretation of contracts but puts emphasis on the need for certain legal documents that your company must have. The discussion will also include access to legal services for small contractors. If you are a Capital for Construction client at ECDI and have a need for legal services related to an executed contract, please bring that contract with you to share with the presenters in order to determine next steps.

Presented by: David Scott, Managing Partner, and Shweta Chaubey, Attorney

Brennan, Manna & Diamond, LLC

Lunch is being provided for all participants at no charge. However, "no shows" will be assessed a $10 fee to cover the cost of a pre-ordered lunch if cancellation is not received 24 hours prior to the event.

This training is a part of the Lunch and Learn series sponsored by the Economic & Community Development Institute (ECDI) under the Capital for Construction program. (The Capital for Construction program provides low-interest advance payments to qualified minority contractors to help address financial gaps in performing work on construction projects when payment is delayed.)

The Lunch and Learn series provides an excellent opportunity to network with other minority contractors and learn more about issues of importance in the industry as well as the services that are available to you at ECDI. There is no fee for these classes.

For more information on the Capital for Construction program, please contact Jesse Mark, MBE Program Manager/Relationship Manager, ECDI at jmark@ecdi.org or (614) 933-4185.
