Understanding the Bid Process and Pre-Qualification

Presented by: Jonathan Dawkins, Procurement Manager - Central Ohio and Jasmine Johnson, Procurement Agent - Central Ohio, Turner Construction

This training will provide first-hand knowledge of how the bid process works at one of the largest construction management companies in the United States. Additional information will be shared on the requirements for pre-qualification, and what information a larger GC will be looking for and why.

Jonathan Dawkins is the Procurement Manager - Central Ohio for Turner Construction. He began work with Turner as a field and scheduling engineer in 2012 after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Building Construction Technology. He has also worked as a Superintendent, Cost Analyst, Project Engineer and is currently Procurement Manager - Central Ohio. Jasmine Johnson is the Procurement Agent for Central Ohio and assists contractors with their prequalifications on a daily basis. She has a Civil Engineering degree from the Ohio State University and has been with the company for over a year, having co-op’d previously with them at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Columbus Metropolitan Library projects.

This session will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 1655 Old Leonard Avenue (Blue Door Entrance). Lunch is being provided for all participants at no charge. However, "no shows" will be assessed a $10 fee to cover the cost of a pre-ordered lunch if cancellation is not received 24 hours prior to the event.
